Presentation of Letters of Credence to Officers and Warrant Officers of the Royal Brunei Navy

MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 06 May 2025 – With the consent of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 18 Officers and 21 Warrant Officers from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were formally presented with their Letters of Credence (Watikah Perlantikan) at a ceremony held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre today.

The Letters were presented by Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Mas Ismandi bin Hassan@Metassan, followed by the official presentation of the Letters of Credence (Watikah Perlantikan), and concluded with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Peliharakan Sultan.

More than a formal recognition, this moment marks a significant milestone for the recipients — a reaffirmation of the trust and responsibility bestowed upon them and a reflection of their unwavering professionalism in safeguarding the honour and mission of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces throughout their service.

This occasion serves as a call to remain steadfast in upholding military values, to lead with integrity, and to inspire those under their command. It also underscores the RBN’s continued commitment to nurturing a capable and resilient leadership corps, vital in ensuring operational readiness and protecting Brunei Darussalam’s maritime interests.
