THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CONTINUES NEARLY 25 YEARS OF ENTRUSTED SERVICE IN HOISTING THE NATIONAL FLAG FOR THE 42ND NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SATURDAY, 14 FEBRUARY 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) continued its entrusted role of hoisting the National Flag in conjunction with the 42nd National Day celebration of Brunei Darussalam, marking almost 25 years since the responsibility was first accorded to the RBN. This ceremonial duty was initially entrusted during the celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien’s 55th Birthday on 12 July 2001, reflecting the enduring confidence placed in the RBN in carrying out an important national tradition.





ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY SECURES BRONZE AT THE RBAF INTER-WOMEN’S FINAL NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2025/2026

BOLKIAH GARRISON, FRIDAY, 13 FEBRUARY 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) netball team, Netvy, secured a commendable third place at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Inter-Women’s Final Netball Championship 2025/2026, held at the Bolkiah Garrison Gymnasium. The championship brought together female personnel from across the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in a spirited display of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.​





BAKTI RBN ORGANISES ANNUAL HIGH TEA TO WELCOME NEW MEMBERS AND HONOUR PAST CONTRIBUTIONS

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, FRIDAY, 13 FEBRUARY 2026 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Wives' Welfare Body (BAKTI) held a ladies’ high tea event held at Liyana Restaurant, Batu Besurat. The Guest of Honour was Haniwati Binti Haji Bakar, Head of BAKTI RBN, spouse of the Commander RBN.​

MUARA NAVAL BASE, FRIDAY, 13 FEBRUARY​​ 2026​ – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Yang Mulia First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, held an engagement session with 160 personnel holding the ranks of Petty Officers of the RBN at the Warrant Officers’ Mess, Muara Naval Base. The session aimed to strengthen a collective commitment to the Royal Brunei Navy’s goals, while reinforcing professionalism and discipline. Also present were the Fleet Regimental Sergeant Major as well as members of the Warrant Officers’ Mess Committee.


KHATAM AL-QUR’AN CEREMONY, HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES 64TH ANNIVERSARY, WAS HELD AT SURAU AL-HUDA, ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY BASE

MUARA, FRIDAY, 13 FEBRUARY 2026 – A Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony was held at Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy Base, in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 64th Anniversary. Organised by the Ministry of Defence, the ceremony was conducted simultaneously at all RBAF camp suraus, including Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru, reflecting unity and shared spiritual observance across the RBAF.
