MUARA NAVAL BASE, Sunday, 14 July 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebrations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mui'zzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony was held at the Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.
Present at the ceremony was the Acting Deputy Commander Navy of RBN, Captain Khairil bin Haji Abd Rahman, RBN. Also in attendance were members of the RBN Executive Board, officers, and ratings of the RBN.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk verses 1 to 11 by Ordinary Rate Azmi bin Ahlimun, RBN. The ceremony was then followed by mass Maghrib prayers, Sunat Hajat prayers, recitation of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil, and the recital of the Doa Kesyukuran. The ceremony then concluded with a mass Isya' prayer.
The Doa Kesyukuran ceremony represents part of the religious activities held at the RBN, to pray for and receive blessings from Allah S.W.T, in hopes that His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will continue to be blessed with great health and prosperity.
