Friday, 24 November 2023 – The certificate presentation ceremony and closing of the Able Rate Leadership Course Series 02/2023 of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was held at the multipurpose hall of the Water Sports Complex, Serasa.
The Guest of Honor for the event was 1303 Lieutenant Muhammad Abqari @ Ahmad Ajwad bin Haji Emran, Communication Officer onboard KDB AS-SIDDIQ, Royal Brunei Navy. Also present at the ceremony were Officers, Warrant Officers, and Senior NCOs from the various sub-units of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The Able Rate Leadership Course Series 02/23 commenced on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, and concluded on Friday, November 24th, 2023. A total of 34 course participants comprised members from the RBN sub-units. The main objective of this course was to enhance the knowledge and credibility of the able rate members to become quality leaders and produce capable Junior NCOs capable of carrying out assigned tasks effectively, with discipline, and a sense of responsibility.
The main agenda of the event included the presentation of certificates by the Guest of Honour, followed by the recognition of outstanding students in their respective categories. 21834 Able Rate Fathiah Syafiqah binti Junaidi received the Highest Overall Mark Certificate, and 21886 Able Rate Rabiah Binti Hj Ibrahim received the Best Improvement Student Certificate, indicating significant interest and improvement in discipline and attitude throughout the leadership course.
During the event, the Guest of Honour also delivered a speech to emphasize to the leadership course participants the importance of incorporating everything they learned throughout the course into their respective careers. The Guest of Honour officially concluded the Able Rate Leadership Course Series 2/2023 on November 24th, 2023.
