MUARA NAVAL BASE, Saturday, 16 September 2023 – To commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and express gratitude and love for the prophet as well as to seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held the opening of Dikir Maulud 1445 Hijrah simultaneously at all RBAF suraus and Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru with the main focus at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.
Present at the event was Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Also present were the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Acting Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors, officers and staff of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The Dikir Maulud commenced with Maghrib Prayers followed by the recital of Surah Nabawiyah and the recital of Sayyidul Istighfar. The ceremony then continued with Dikir As-salammualaika followed by mass Isya' Prayers, Selawat Badriyah, Dikir Dibaie, Dikir Marhaban, Doa Peliharakan Sultan & Negara Brunei Darussalam, Selawat Qiam, Surah Al-'Asr, Tasbih Kaffarah and Doa Kedua Ibu Bapa. The Dikir Maulud will be held continuously for 12 nights at all RBAF suraus.
