EXERCISE BLUE TOMBAK AND FLEET CONCENTRATION PERIOD 2021 COMMENCES

MUARA, Tuesday, 2 March 2021 – Royal Brunei Navy is embarking on a four-day exercise involving all personnel commencing today, 2 – 5 March 2021. Both Exercise Blue Tombak and Fleet Concentration Period 2021 are planned exercises from the previous series of exercises and in preparation for the upcoming Field Training Exercise for HIKMAT BERSATU 6 that is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in June 2021.

The opening of the exercise was officiated with a parade at Parade Square Bravo, with personnel donning their operational gears (D2P) and equipped with their respective SOP bergens. Present as the Guest of Honor was Captain Haji Mohd Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy.

The parade was led by Lieutenant Commander Abdul Aiman bin Haji Abdul Rahman, of whom is also a member of the Exercise Controllers. The parade was divided into two contingents, each comprising of 100 base personnel and 100 fleet personnel. The base contingent was led by Lieutenant Mohd Luqman bin Hj Abd Hamid, RBN, whilst the fleet contingent was led by Lieutenant Pg Muhd Saifullah Abd Azim bin Pg Abdullah, RBN. Also involved in the parade was Royal Brunei Navy Band personnel.
