MUARA NAVAL BASE, MONDAY, 15 JUNE 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated its 61st Anniversary with a Parade Ceremony held at the RBN Parade Square, led by Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Haziq bin Mohammad Ali, RBN.
The ceremony commenced with morning colours, followed by the Parade Ceremony, which was officiated by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, as the guest of honour. Also in attendance were members of the RBN Executive Board, RBN personnel and invited guests.
In his address, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy called upon all RBN personnel to continue carrying out their duties with dedication, discipline and integrity as the front line of the nation’s maritime defence. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening the RBN’s capabilities through asset development, enhancement of base defence, defence diplomacy with law enforcement agencies and friendly navies, as well as continuous improvement of training through the Naval Training Centre. He further urged all RBN personnel to move forward as one family, one team and one mission in safeguarding the sovereignty of Brunei Darussalam’s waters, while renewing their unwavering pledge of loyalty to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The event was further enlivened with the presentation of awards in recognition of the professionalism of RBN officers and personnel. The awards presented included the ROR Master, Best Engineer Award, Best Physical Fitness Award, Sauh Emas and Bintang Harapan. The Parade Ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and a group photo session at the Parade Square.
Following this, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, together with members of the RBN Executive Board, proceeded to Dewan Samudera and the Senior Rates’ Mess for the second segment, which included cake-cutting ceremonies and group photo sessions with Junior Rates and Senior Rates personnel.
The segment concluded at the RBN Officers’ Mess with a group photo session and the presentation of professional certificates, namely the Commanding Officer Certificate, Principal Warfare Officer Badge Certificate and Officer of the Watch Certificate. The event was further complemented with a cake-cutting ceremony and a morning reception.

TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI SAMBUT ULANG TAHUN KE-61 TAHUN
PANGKALAN TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI, ISNIN, 15 JUN 2026 - Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) telah menyambut Ulang Tahun ke-61 dengan mengadakan Upacara Perbarisan yang berlangsung di Padang Kawad TLDB, yang diketuai oleh Leftenan Komander Mohamad Haziq bin Mohammad Ali, TLDB.
Upacara dimulakan dengan menaikkan bendera (morning colours), diikuti dengan Upacara Perbarisan yang disempurnakan oleh Pemerintah TLDB, Laksamana Pertama Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, TLDB selaku tetamu kehormat. Turut hadir adalah Badan Eksekutif TLDB bersama seluruh warga TLDB dan jemputan-jemputan khas. Dalam perutusan beliau, Pemerintah TLDB menyeru seluruh warga TLDB untuk terus melaksanakan tugas dengan penuh dedikasi, disiplin dan integriti sebagai benteng hadapan pertahanan maritim negara. Beliau turut menekankan kepentingan memperkukuhkan keupayaan TLDB melalui pembangunan aset, penambahbaikan pertahanan pangkalan, diplomasi pertahanan bersama agensi penguatkuasaan serta tentera laut sahabat, dan peningkatan mutu latihan melalui Pusat Latihan Tentera Laut. Pemerintah TLDB juga menyeru warga TLDB untuk terus bergerak sebagai satu keluarga, satu pasukan dan satu misi dalam mempertahankan kedaulatan perairan Negara Brunei Darussalam, di samping memperbaharui ikrar taat setia ke hadapan Majlis Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Majlis turut diserikan dengan penyampaian anugerah sebagai pengiktirafan atas profesionalisme pegawai dan anggota TLDB. Anugerah-anugerah yang di sampaikan termasuk Anugerah The Road Master (ROR Master) Anugerah Jurutera Terbaik, Anugerah Jasmani Terbaik, Anugerah Sauh Emas dan Anugerah Bintang Harapan. Upacara Perbarisan diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat serta sesi bergambar ramai di Padang Kawad.
Seterusnya, Pemerintah TLDB bersama ahli-ahli Badan Eksekutif TLDB beredar ke Dewan Samudera dan Mess PTB Kanan bagi segmen kedua, yang merangkumi sesi memotong kek dan bergambar ramai bersama anggota-anggota PTB Rendah dan PTB Kanan. Segmen berakhir di Mess Pegawai TLDB dengan sesi bergambar ramai serta penyampaian sijil-sijil profesional, iaitu Sijil Pemerintah Kapal, Sijil Principal Warfare Officer dan Sijil Officer of the Watch. Majlis turut diserikan dengan acara memotong kek serta jamuan ringan pagi.
