RBN COMMANDER RECEIVES INTRODUCTORY CALL FROM DEFENCE ATTACHÉ OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ACCREDITED TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

MUARA, FRIDAY, 12 JUNE 2026 – Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, received an introductory call from Colonel David Bradley, Defence Attaché of the United States of America accredited to Brunei Darussalam, at Bilik Pahlawan, Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters.

The introductory call served as an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and discuss ongoing defence cooperation between both countries. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations through professional military engagements, training and educational opportunities, maritime security cooperation, as well as future collaborative activities aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and interoperability.

The visit reflects the longstanding defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America and underscores the shared commitment of both countries towards promoting regional security, stability and maritime cooperation. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative mementoes, signifying the continued friendship and cooperation between both countries.

Colonel David Bradley is based in the Republic of Singapore and was appointed as the Non-Resident Defence Attaché of the United States of America accredited to Brunei Darussalam with effect from 15 April 2026.
