Muara Naval Base, Friday, 16 May 2025 - In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Navy Diamond Jubilee, the RBN held an opening ceremony for the Tadarus Al-Quran at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.
Present as Guest of Honour was Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, accompanied by members of the RBN Executive Board. Also in attendance were senior officers, officers, and personnel of the RBN.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Guest of Honour. This was followed by the reading of Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 1 to 29, Asmaul Husna, and Selawat Tafrijiyyah, before proceeding with the mass Hajat and Dhuha prayers.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, followed by the closing doa, marking a spiritually meaningful beginning to the RBN’s Tadarus Al-Quran programme in celebration of its 60th Anniversary.
