BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 27 March 2026 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, a total of 65 officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) were promoted, which includes 9 officers from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) where 6 officers were promoted to Lieutenant Commanders, RBN and 3 officers to the rank Lieutenant, RBN.
The insignia presentation was presented by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF, at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Deputy Commander of the RBAF, Services Commanders, the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary, Directorates, Commandant and Acting Commandant, and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF as well as family members of the promoted officers.
The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat recited by Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Acting Director of RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) to bless the ceremony.
