MUARA NAVAL BASE, FRIDAY, 02 MAY 2025 – A total of 14 Junior Non-Commissioned Personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Fleet were promoted in a ceremony held at the Muara Naval Base. The event recognised their dedication, professionalism, and readiness to assume greater responsibilities in service.
Among those promoted, two personnel advanced from Leading Hand to Petty Officer (substantive), while two others moved from Acting Leading Hand to Leading Hand (substantive). Seven personnel were promoted from Able Rate to Leading Hand (substantive), and one from Able Rate to Acting Leading Hand.
In addition, three personnel were promoted from Acting Able Rate to Able Rate (substantive), two from Ordinary Rate to Able Rate (substantive), and two from Ordinary Rate to Acting Able Rate.
The ceremony was officiated by the Acting Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, RBN, as the Guest of Honour. Also in attendance were the Commanding Officers of ships under the RBN Fleet.
The Royal Brunei Navy extends its congratulations to all promoted Fleet personnel and wishes them continued success in their naval careers.
