Lumut, Saturday, 22 March 2025 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) had the heartful opportunity to carry out a meaningful event, Sentuhan Kasih Ramadhan, dedicated  to 10 orphans from families of dearly departed RBAF personnel and civilians held at Surau Ar-Rahmah, Lumut Camp, 3rd Batallion, Royal Brunei Land Forces today.

 

Present at the event to hand over the donations were Yang Mulia Brigadier General (B) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence and his spouse, Yang Mulia Datin Hajah Azizah binti Haji Miramit. Also present during the ceremony was Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Royal Brunei Navy Commander, as well as Acting Joint Force Commander and their spouses.

 

The ceremony began with a mass recital of Surah Yassin, Tahlil and Doa Tahlil led by Captain Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini from RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT). The ceremony then proceeded with the presentation of the donations to the fellow recipients as well as a group photo session.

 

Sentuhan Kasih Ramadhan is an annual event organised by the RBAF during the holy month of Ramadhan. The donations were raised from proceeds by the RBAF Welfare Fund, BAKTI, RBAF personnel and Suraus to bring joy and ease the burden of the orphans in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
