Muara Naval Base, Wednesday, 12 February 2025 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a date distribution ceremony at Bilik Pahlawan, Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters, in observance of the holy month of Ramadhan. The dates, a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, were distributed as part of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) duty to deliver them to all Muslim personnel in conjunction with Ramadhan.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, followed by Surah Al-Fatihah and Selawat Tafrijiyyah. The formal presentation of dates was carried out by the Commander of the RBN, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, to the Badan Eksekutif Tentera Laut (BETL). Also in attendance were senior officers of the RBN.
The event concluded with a prayer followed by the formal adjournment. This initiative reflects the RBAF’s commitment to upholding religious and cultural values while fostering unity and gratitude among its personnel.
