MUARA, Thursday, 13 February 2025 – The Ministry of Defence held a Nisfu Sya’aban 1446 Hijrah event simultaneously across all Ministry of Defence and RBAF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the focal event at Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Base.
Present at the event was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Minister of Defence II.
Also present were Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Commander of the RBAF, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN Commander, along with senior leadership, officers, and personnel of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
Acting Penghulu of Mukim Serasa, representatives from the Muara Police Station, the Marine Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Muara Fire and Rescue Department, and teachers from the RBN Primary School were also invited to the event.
The event began with a mass Fardu Maghrib prayer followed by three recitations of Surah Yaasin led by Imam Afiq Abd Halim bin Hj Daniel, Imam of Surau Al-Huda, and Bilal Ak Muhd Yadiy bin Pg Suffidin, Bilal of Surau Al-Huda. The event continued with a special Doa to mark Nisfu Sya’aban 1446 Hijrah and concluded with a mass Fardu Isya’ prayer.
The event aimed to encourage officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF to heighten their worship, seek forgiveness, and receive the blessings of Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala on the night of Nisfu Sya’aban, a night filled with blessings and prosperity for all Muslims.
