MUARA NAVAL BASE, February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) conducted the Distribution of Dates Ceremony, a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with the upcoming month of Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah/2025 Masihi. The ceremony was held at respective sub-units under RBN throughout Muara Naval Base.
The distribution of dates was carried out by RBN Board of Executives representatives for each sub-unit, ensuring that officers and personnel across RBN received His Majesty’s personal gift. This initiative reinforces direct engagement with all members of the RBN, reflecting His Majesty’s continued care and generosity towards the Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, followed by Surah Al-Fatihah and Selawat Tafrijiyyah, before proceeding with the official distribution of dates. Senior officers, Officers and personnel from various sub-units within RBN were in attendance to receive the dates, marking the significance of this annual tradition in welcoming the holy month of Ramadhan.
The event concluded with a special Doa for the Distribution of Dates Ceremony and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, seeking continued blessings and protection for His Majesty and the nation.
