ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HOSTS EDUCATIONAL VISIT DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Muara Naval Base, 09 December 2024 – In celebration of the school holidays, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted educational visits from the Perpustakaan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (Lambak and Bandar branches), as well as youth from Syababul Mubasyir at Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque.

The visits aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of naval operations and career opportunities within the RBN. The program began with a warm welcome at the Dewan Nakhoda, Naval Training Centre (NTC), where Lieutenant Commander Mohd Luqman bin Haji Abdul Hamid, RBN, along with personnel from the Human Resource Cell, briefed the students on the various roles, responsibilities, and career paths within the RBN.

Following the introductory remarks, the students were introduced to a range of RBN equipment and had the opportunity to interact with personnel from the Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) and Base Defence (BD). These personnel presented their equipment and allowed the delegates to try on some of the gear. The group then visited the Kastila Simulation Room, where they experienced advanced simulation equipment that replicates the onboard ship experience.

The tour continued with a visit to KDB DARULEHSAN, where the students explored key areas of the ship, including the bridge, flight deck, forecastle, and RHIC deck. This educational experience provided the students with a unique opportunity to learn about the RBN’s assets, operations, and the professionalism of its personnel. The visit concluded with memorable group photos at Dewan Nakhoda and onboard  KDB DARULEHSAN.
