MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 06 December 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Water Polo and Swimming Championship 2024 officially concluded today at the RBN Swimming Pool, Muara Naval Base. The event began with the final round of the Water Polo match, where Armada ‘B’ defeat Armada ‘A’. This was followed by two swimming events: the 100m freestyle and the 4x50m freestyle relay. Armada ‘B’ emerged as the overall champion of the tournament, securing 9 gold medals and 2 silver medals.
The prizes were presented by the guest of honour, Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Acting Commander of the RBN. The tournament began on 03 December and featured a total of 4 teams representing both Base and Fleet.
The championship serves as a key platform for identifying talented individuals to represent the RBN in the upcoming Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Swimming and Water Polo Championship. In addition, the tournament promotes healthy competition, teamwork, and camaraderie among participants, further strengthening the bonds among RBN personnel.
