Serasa Beach, Friday, 27 September 2024 - In conjunction with the Royal Brunei Navy's (RBN) 59th Anniversary, The Royal Brunei Navy successfully conducted their third beach cleaning campaign at Serasa Beach yesterday afternoon.
The event, organized by the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters and the Naval Training Centre, featured Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander Royal Brunei Navy, as the Guest of Honour. The campaign was also attended by senior RBN officials, including the Commandant of the Naval Training Centre, Chief of Staff RBN, Head of Inspectorate Cell RBN, and the Commanding Officer of Navy Training, who inaugurated the event alongside 159 personnel.
The campaign commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, blessing the day's efforts. Participants collected over 120 kg of litter, including plastic waste and other non-biodegradable materials, helping to raise awareness of the environmental impact of littering on Brunei’s beaches.
