Commemorating the Prophet's Birth Anniversary: Royal Brunei Navy Begins Dikir Syarafil Anam Recitals

Surau Al-Huda, Wednesday, 04 September 2024– In honor of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (PBUH), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) officers and personnel commenced the first night of Dikir Syarafil Anam, marking the start of 12 consecutive nights of Dikir recitals that will continue until 15 September 2024.


The opening ceremony, held at Surau Al-Huda, was attended by the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, as the guest of honor. The evening began with the congregation of the Maghrib prayer, followed by a brief history of the Prophet's life and teachings. The ceremony then proceeded with the mass recital of Dikir, led by Imam Surau Al-Huda, and concluded with the Isya' prayer.

In attendance were the RBN Fleet Commander, RBN Chief of Staff, senior officers, and personnel, all gathered to commemorate this significant religious occasion.
