Royal Brunei Navy Honors Fallen Heroes with Cemetery Cleaning Campaign

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM , 22 AUGUST 2024 – In commemoration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 63rd Anniversary, the Royal Brunei Navy organized a heartfelt cemetery cleaning campaign to honor the memory of its fallen officers and sailors.

Eight Muslim cemeteries across the country were selected for the initiative: Tanah Perkuburan Seri Pimping, Tanah Perkuburan Damuan, Tanah Perkuburan Kg. Terunjing, Tanah Perkuburan Jame Asr’, Tanah Perkuburan Kg. Pulaie, Tanah Perkuburan Kg. Salambigar, Tanah Perkuburan Kg. Sungai Kebun, and Tanah Perkuburan Kg. Kianggeh. These cemeteries serve as final resting places for Navy personnel who have passed away while in service.

Senior Executive Officers and their families joined the campaign, participating in the cleaning efforts and paying their respects to the fallen heroes. Following the cleanup, a solemn recital of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil was held at each cemetery to commemorate the lives of the departed.

The campaign was not only a practical act of service but also a meaningful tribute to the sacrifices made by the Navy personnel. It served as a reminder of their dedication and commitment to their country. By honoring their memory, the Royal Brunei Navy hopes to inspire current and future generations of sailors to continue their legacy of service and honor.
