EDUCATIONAL VISIT BY MILITARY CADETS FROM SERI BEGAWAN RELIGIOUS TEACHERS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE TO ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY

​MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 17 April 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted an educational visit for forty-one (41) military cadets, along with four (4) teachers and cadet trainers from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College. The visit aimed to provide insights into naval careers and operations.


The tour commenced at Samudera Hall, RBN, where Lieutenant Commander Haji Marjidi bin Hj Abdul Rahman, RBN, Officer Commanding Maritime Technical School and Human Resource Cell personnel welcomed the group. Lieutenant Commander Haji Marjidi delivered opening remarks, highlighting career opportunities and roles within the RBN.

The program included visits to the Maritime Technical School, Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG), and Base Defence exhibition. Cadets had the opportunity to explore equipment displays and even try on some equipment. They also enjoyed a ship tour aboard KDB AS-SIDDIQ, visiting areas such as the ship's bridge, wardroom, Combat Information Centre (CIC), flag deck, quarter deck, and foxhole.

The visit provided valuable insights into RBN assets and the personnel who operate them. Cadets interacted with RBN personnel throughout the visit, deepening their understanding of naval operations. The program concluded with a group photo in front of Samudera Hall. This educational visit underscores the RBN's commitment to fostering partnerships with educational institutions and promoting maritime awareness among future military leaders.
