MUARA, Wednesday, 10 April 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held Takbir Hari Raya to celebrate the beginning of Syawal 1445H at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. The event began with mass Isya Prayer and followed with Tazkirah on “Kelebihan Menghidupkan Malam Raya” which was delivered by the Imam of Surau Al-Huda.
Subsequently, the Takbir Hari Raya was carried out from the Fleet team led by, Commander Sonny Iskandar Bin Rasani, RBN, the Acting Fleet Commander of RBN. The Base team was then led by, Captain Khairil Bin Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, the Acting Deputy Commander of RBN, before the event concluded with the closing doa.
The Takbir is occasionally recited by Muslims around the world as a way of expressing their unity, happiness, and gratitude to Allah the Almighty for the blessing they have received during the month of Ramadhan. It is during ‘Aidilfitri celebration, the Takbir is recited, which marks the end of the fasting holy month.
