FIRST KHATAM AL-QUR'AN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN YEAR 1445H

MUARA, Thursday, 21 March 2024 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan 1445H, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the First Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony. The ceremony took place at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base.


Present as the Guest of Honor at the ceremony was Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. Also in attendance were senior officers, officers, and personnel of the RBN.

The ceremony marked the completion of the Al-Quran reading among RBN officers and personnel throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The ceremony was also held to encourage and instil the practice of reading Al-Quran among RBN personnel. 

The ceremony commenced after the Zuhor prayer, beginning with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah, and a prayer before the Al-Quran reading. This was followed by Takhtim Al-Quran, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, Dhikr Marhaban, and concluded with "Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam" led by the Imam of Surau Al-Huda.
