MUARA, Tuesday 23 April 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted two significant Rank Insignia Presentation Ceremonies, celebrating the achievements of its personnel. The insignias were presented by Yang Mulia Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The event began with the first promotion ceremony for the 107 junior ratings at the Samudera Hall. The event saw 54 personnel promoted to Leading Hand and 53 personnel promoted to Able Rate.
Following after that, the Acting Commander RBN then moved to the Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers' Mess to present the insignias for the promotion of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO). The event saw 44 personnel promoted to Petty Officer.
Also in attendance were the Royal Brunei Navy Executive Board members, Senior Officers, Officers, Navy Sergeant Majors, and family members of the newly promoted personnel. Each ceremony commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the presentation of rank insignias, and concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat and group photo sessions.
