RBN PARTICIPATED IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE CLEANING CAMPAIGN


TEMBURONG, Friday, 1 March 2024 – The Ministry of Defence launched a cleaning campaign in Temburong District to keep Brunei Darussalam free of pollution and maintain a clean environment.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Ret.) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Defence II, launched the event at the Mohammad Salleh Utama Mosque in Pekan Bangar. He was joined by Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Brigadier General (Ret.) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shahnonnizam bin Sulaiman, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force and Captain Haji Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, along with other senior leaders and Ministry of Defence personnel.

The cleaning campaign commenced with a Friday Halaqah held simultaneously across all mosques, surau, prayer halls and da'wah posts. A tazkirah was also held titled, 'Cleanliness is a Requirement'.

The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) also participated in the Ministry of Defence Cleaning Campaign held at Masjid Utama Mohammad Salleh in Pekan Bangar, Temburong District. RBN’s involvement demonstrates the navy's commitment to community service through its contribution of maintaining a conducive environment for worship and the general upkeep of communal religious spaces.
