ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY RECEIVED A WORKING VISIT FROM DEFENCE ATTACHÉS/ADVISERS ACCREDITED TO NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

MUARA, Thursday, 29 February 2024 - Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) received a working visit from 13 Resident and Non - Resident Defence Attachés / Advisers accredited to Negara Brunei Darussalam. The working visit was hosted by Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.

 

The objective of the visit was to provide an insight and general understanding of RBN's organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, as well as its contribution to the wider national and regional maritime security architecture. A corporate brief was delivered by Commander Malek Fadhillah bin Pehin Dato Juragan Laila Diraja Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Kefli, RBN, Assistant Chief of Staff Operations (N3). The brief took place at the Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC). The working visit then proceeded onboard one of the DARUSSALAM class vessels, KDB DARULEHSAN where guests were provided an overview of the specifications and capabilities of the vessel. Also shared during the ship tour was the history of KDB DARULEHSAN, as briefed by Lieutenant Commander Mohd Zulyamin bin Awang Mohd Noor, RBN, Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN. The visit concluded with a Hi-Tea break and a group photo session at the RBN Headquarters waterfront area.

 

The working visit was organised in conjunction with the Defence Attachés / Advisers Conference 2023, held for two days at the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
