MUARA, Thursday, 30 November 2023 –
Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) held a sea circuit championship amongst their naval divers this morning.
The competition began on 23rd November 2023 and saw participation from all naval divers of NAVSAG comprising
officers, senior rates and junior rates of the department.
The objective of this competition is to assess the naval diver's physical fitness and mental fortitude, where they had to endure a 3-kilometre route consisting of challenges testing their upper body strength, swimming capability and running endurance. Most importantly, the challenges were designed to push the limits of their personal strength, speed, and spirit, which is expected of a naval diver.
First place was claimed by 52308 Able Rate Md Zulizam bin Shamri with a time of 15 minutes and 15 seconds, second place went to 52881 Able Rate Muizzuddin Bin Hj Zainudin with a time of 15 minutes and 19 seconds, and third place went to Petty Officer 18897 Md Salihin Bin Abdullah Hee with a time of 15 minutes and 27 seconds.
To mark the end of the championship, the commanding officer of NAVSAG, Lt Rajaie Bin Razali, was invited to present the trophies to the winners of the sea circuit championship.
