MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 15 September 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a promotion ceremony for thirty-three (33) Senior Ratings held at the RBN Senior Rates' Mess. Ten (10) were promoted to the rank of Acting Warrant Officer 1, twenty (20) were promoted to the rank of Acting Warrant Officer 2, and three (03) were promoted to the rank of Acting Chief Petty Officer.
Present at the ceremony as Guest of Honour was Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN Acting Commander who presented the rank insignias. The presentation of rank insignias were also witnessed by members of the RBN Executive Board, RBN officers and ratings, as well as family members of the newly promoted RBN personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah followed by a presentation of the rank insignias by the Guest of Honour and concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat.
