‚ÄčWednesday, 07 September 2022, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) has opened her doors to the RBN's families in an event called Exposing Families to Navy Initiative' in conjunction to the current school holidays. It's half of a day event, that started at 0830H to 1200H, where RBN personnel are welcomed to bring their families for a work tour onboard ships and experience the work routine as a sailors.

The main aim of this event is to express our appreciation and gratitude to all RBN personnel especially the to their family members, for giving out their support and understanding that indirectly contributes to the operations and development of RBN. With that, the event provides an avenue where RBN personnel are able to spend time their families during this period of time.

Main highlights of the event are the open ship's visit to 2 of the RBN vessels, which are 01x Patrol Vessel platform (KDB DARUSSALAM) and 01x Fast Patrol Boat platform (KDB AFIAT) at Jetty B', where all ship's decks are open for a tour. Besides that, family members also have the opportunity to enjoy a sea experience during ship rides onboard KDB SERASA. There were also open booths from Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) and Base Defence for their static display of gears and cosplay, as well as, static display from RBN Band and Human Resource Cell. To enlighten the event, food stalls were also open for RBN Personnel and families throughout the event and free food catering (brunch) was provided at Dewan Samudera.

Present during the event was Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, The event had concluded well and recorded attendees of 523 visitors.
