​MUARA, Tuesday,  28 June 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Mariners Club held their inaugural dinner celebrating RBN's 57^th Anniversary at Dewan Samudera, Muara Naval Base.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Warrant Officer 1 Roslan bin Duraman, Navy Sergeant Major.   The Guest of Honour was welcomed by Leading Hand Muhd Hilmi bin Muhd Hisyamuddin, President of the Mess Committee (PMC), Royal Brunei Navy Mariners Club.

A total of one hundred and ninety-eight (198) sailors from Royal Brunei Navy attended the event including the Navy Sergeant Major, Drill Sergeant Major, PMC Mariners Club and other RBN Junior Rates. The event commenced with a photo session and cake cutting session followed by recitation of Doa Selamat led by Able Rate Muhd Abd Farid bin Hj Sufri.

During the Ceremony, the Navy Sergeant Major highlighted the inaugural event as a valuable experience for RBN Junior Rates which celebrates their service and appreciates their dedication towards various duties carried out by RBN Junior Rates. Before concluding his address, the Navy Sergeant Major reminded all Junior Rates of their duties and responsibilities entrusted to them and to take heed of the advice given by Commander RBN in conjunction with the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Navy.   After Guest of Honour delivered the speech, the event continued with a banquet.

Towards the end of the evening, the event concluded with the signing of parchment by Warrant Officer 1 Roslan bin Duraman, Navy Sergeant Major.
