BERAKAS, Tuesday, 11 May 2021 – The Royal Brunei Navy hosted the 15th ASEAN Navy Chiefs' Staff Meeting this morning at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. Chairing the meeting on behalf of Royal Brunei Navy was Commander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. The objective of the staff meeting was for coordination purposes and to ensure the smooth running of the 15th ANCM this coming August.
The 15th iteration of the ANCM Staff Meeting was conducted virtually. Also in attendance was the Chief of Staff, Royal Brunei Navy, Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani. The meeting commenced with the opening remarks by the Fleet Commander and proceeded with the various agenda items. The meeting entailed discussions on future activities involving ANCM members.
The staff meeting stands as a precursor to the 15th ASEAN Navy Chiefs' Meeting that will be held in August 2021. The theme of the 15th ANCM is "We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper".
