INITIAL PLANNING CONFERENCE EXERCISE PELICAN 40/2022
MUARA, Wednesday, 27 April 2022 – The Initial Planning Conference (IPC) for Exercise PELICAN 40/22 was conducted via Video Teleconference (VTC) at Bendahara Sakam Meeting Room, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Muara. The IPC was hosted by Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) as the exercise coordinator for this year’s exercise. As a continuation from EX PELICAN 21 that was suspended due to COVID-19 situation, the aim of IPC was to plan on activities and coordination for the exercise that will be held tentatively in September 2022. The conference was also aimed to ensure the planned activities are beneficial in terms of training values, bilateral relations, defence diplomacy, and cooperation for both navies.
IHYA RAMADHAN AND OUTREACH PROGRAMME WITH MINISTER OF DEFENCE II

HMS SPEY OF THE ROYAL NAVY IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM FOR LOGISTIC VISIT
MUARA, Monday, 25 April 2022 – HMS SPEY of the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy (RN) arrived in Brunei Darussalam on 24th April to 25th April 2022 for a logistic visit; following her sister ship HMS TAMAR’s visit to Brunei. As HMS SPEY entered Brunei, RBN and RN took the opportunity to continue fostering their historic ties with the successful conduct of a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) between KDB DARULEHSAN and HMS SPEY.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HELD NUZUL AL-QUR’AN CELEBRATION 1443H
MUARA, Thursday 21 April 2022– The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Nuzul Al-Qur’an ceremony at Surau Al-Huda to commemorate the revelation of the Holy Al-Qur’an. Present at the event was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Seruji@Haji Serudi, Commander RBN, members of the RBN Executive Board, and RBN personnel.
