21 April 2022– The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Nuzul Al-Qur’an ceremony at Surau Al-Huda to commemorate the revelation of the Holy Al-Qur’an. Present at the event was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Seruji@Haji Serudi, Commander RBN, members of the RBN Executive Board, and RBN personnel.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Isra’ verse 9-14 by Leading Hand Mohammad Azri bin Sabli, Navigation Yeoman of KDB TERABAN. The ceremony proceeded with
Fardhu Zuhur congregational prayers and a religious lecture titled “Companionship with Al-Qur’an Throughout the Ages”, delivered by Ustaz Haji Amynoor bin Haji Yakoob, from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Nuzul Al-Quran is one of the highlights of the Islamic holy month of Ramadhan which was celebrated simultaneously across all Ministry of Defence and RBAF
surau, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the focal event at
Surau Ar-Rahmah, Lumut Camp. The Al-Quran is one of the greatest miracles where the revelation of Al-Quran was done in phases according to events, activities and time to Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu’Alaihi Wassalam (S.A.W).
