APPRECIATION CEREMONY FOR CHABEL6 SAILORS AND YOUTH VOLUNTEERS

MUMONG, Sunday, 07 November 2021 – An Appreciation Ceremony was held for the sailors and youth volunteers of COVID Holding Area Belait 6th Form (CHABEL6) representing frontliners in the combat against the COVID-19 pandemic. CHABEL6 is managed and operated through a whole-of-nation approach consisting of personnel from the RBN under Task Group Support COVID-19 with the support of the Youth Volunteer, Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sports and the Royal Brunei Police Force. Each personnel began by going through training from the Ministry of Health on the conduct of clinical and managerial duties to operate as Nursing Aides.

As of today, it has been in operation for nearly 3 months providing a safe and conducive environment for isolation and healing of patients who are COVID-19 positive. As an appreciation for their hard work, sacrifice and dedication towards combating the pandemic, letters of appreciation and commendation, from the Site Commander, Commander Pengiran Mohd Faren bin Pengiran Mohd Noor, RBN, were presented individually to each of the personnel in CHABEL6. The event was concluded with the presentation of the Site Commander's Awards to those who have shown great leadership in times of adversity, great teamwork and those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. CHABEL6 stands a testament to the fortitude and adaptiveness of military personnel in ensuring the nation's security in these challenging times.
