DA RBAF, Monday, 25 May 2026 – Four officers from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were among 34 junior officers who successfully completed the Junior Officer Development Course (JODC) 01/2026 during the Closing Ceremony held at the Leadership and Management Centre, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF). The ceremony was officiated by Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Commandant of DA RBAF.
The six-week course, conducted from 13 April to 25 May 2026, gathered participants from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), and Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). Organised by the Leadership and Management Centre, DA RBAF, the course aimed to enhance leadership competencies, strengthen professional military knowledge, and broaden understanding on regional security dynamics and national defence policy among junior officers.
Throughout the course, participants underwent four core modules namely Leadership, Foundation Skills, Security Studies, and Military Studies. The programme also included lectures, syndicate discussions, presentations, and study visits designed to strengthen critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, and decision-making abilities among future military leaders.
The participation of the four RBN officers reflects the Navy’s continuous commitment towards developing competent, professional, and adaptable leaders capable of facing evolving defence and security challenges while strengthening cooperation amongst the services within the RBAF.
