MUARA, Friday, 23 January 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held two promotion ceremonies to mark the advancement of nineteen (19) of their personnel.
The first ceremony took place in the morning at Samudera Hall, Royal Brunei Navy, involving the promotion of eight (8) personnel, where five (5) personnel were promoted to Warrant Officer 1, while three (3) personnel were promoted to Warrant Officer 2. The ceremony was officiated by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, as the Guest of Honour.
Later the same day, a second promotion ceremony was held at the Naval Training Centre (NTC), where eleven (11) personnel were promoted. The promotions comprised five (5) personnel to Chief Petty Officer, three (3) to Petty Officer, two (2) to Leading Hand, and one (1) to Able Rate. The ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Commandant of the Naval Training Centre, Commander Norharirayati @ Norshawalliah binti Yakub, RBN, as the Guest of Honour.
Both ceremonies commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah to bless the events, followed by the presentation of rank insignias to the promoted personnel. Also present at both ceremonies were Senior Officers, Officers, Sergeant Majors, as well as family members of the promoted personnel.
The Royal Brunei Navy extends its heartfelt congratulations to all personnel promoted and expresses its confidence that they will continue to uphold the Navy’s core values, demonstrate exemplary leadership, and contribute effectively towards strengthening the professionalism, capability, and operational readiness of the Royal Brunei Navy.

TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGADAKAN DUA MAJLIS KENAIKAN PANGKAT BAGI TIGA BELAS ANGGOTA
MUARA, Jumaat, 23 Januari 2026 – Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB) telah mengadakan dua majlis kenaikan pangkat bagi meraikan kenaikan pangkat seramai sembilan belas (19) orang anggotanya.
Majlis pertama telah berlangsung pada sebelah pagi bertempat di Dewan Samudera, TLDB, yang melibatkan kenaikan pangkat lapan (8) orang anggota, yang mana lima (5) orang anggota telah dinaikkan ke pangkat Pegawai Waran 1, manakala tiga (3) orang anggota dinaikkan ke pangkat Pegawai Waran 2. Majlis tersebut telah disempurnakan oleh Pemerintah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Laksamana Pertama Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, selaku Tetamu Kehormat.
Pada hari yang sama, satu lagi majlis kenaikan pangkat telah diadakan di Pusat Latihan Tentera Laut (PLTL), yang melibatkan kenaikan pangkat sebelas (11) orang anggota. Kenaikan pangkat tersebut merangkumi lima (5) orang anggota ke pangkat Bintara Kanan, tiga (3) orang ke pangkat Bintara, dua (2) orang ke pangkat Laskar Kanan, dan seorang (1) ke pangkat Laskar Muda. Majlis berkenaan telah disempurnakan oleh Timbalan Komandan PLTL, Komander Norharirayati @ Norshawalliah binti Yakub, TLDB, selaku Tetamu Kehormat.
Kedua-dua majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah bagi memberkati majlis, diikuti dengan penyampaian tanda pangkat kepada anggota yang dinaikkan pangkat. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-Pegawai, Sarjan Mejar, serta ahli keluarga anggota yang dinaikkan pangkat.
Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei merakamkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah kepada semua anggota yang dinaikkan pangkat dan berharap agar mereka akan terus menjunjung nilai-nilai teras TLDB, mempamerkan kepimpinan yang cemerlang, serta memberikan sumbangan berterusan ke arah memperkukuhkan profesionalisme, keupayaan dan kesiapsiagaan operasi Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei.
