BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 25 FEBRUARY 2025 -Brunei Darussalam’s giant-sized national flag, which had been hoisted since 15 February 2025, was ceremoniously lowered to mark the conclusion of the hoisting period in conjunction with the nation’s 41st National Day celebration. The event took place near Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The guest of honour for the occasion was Yang Mulia Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
Twenty (20) personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), led by Lieutenant Hj Husaini bin Hj Husin, RBN, played a key role in lowering the national flag. The proceedings were accompanied by the National Anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan, and concluded with a Doa Selamat prayer.
