MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday 07 November 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted two significant Rank Insignia Presentation Ceremonies, celebrating the achievements of its personnel. The insignias were presented by Yang Mulia Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The event began with the first promotion ceremony for the 76 junior ratings at Samudera Hall. 33 personnel were promoted to Leading Hand, and 43 personnel were promoted to Able Rate.
Following after that, the Acting Commander RBN then moved to the Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers' Mess to present the insignias for the promotion of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO). The event saw 25 personnel promoted to Petty Officer.
Also in attendance were the Royal Brunei Navy Executive Board members, Senior Officers, Officers, Navy Sergeant Majors, and family members of the newly promoted personnel. Each ceremony commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the presentation of rank insignias, and concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat and group photo sessions.
