Muara, Monday, 04 November 2024 – Base Defence hosted a Handing Over And Taking Over Ceremony Officer in Commanding (HOTO) between outgoing Officer Commanding Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Samsul Bin Awang Rosman, RBN and incoming Officer Commanding Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Amirul Azwan Bin Haji Dullah, RBN. Present to witness the ceremony was Commander Mohammad Nazrin Bin Haji Sabli, RBN, Commanding Officer of Base Royal Brunei Navy.
The parade was led by Lieutenant Junior Grade Abd Adri bin Hj Abd Adzid while the Company Sergeant Major was Chief Petty Officer Awg Mohd Abd Aziz Bin Awg Ibrahim. The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Able Rate Mohd Khairul Ikhwan Bin Misli.
The ceremony continued with a speech given by Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Samsul Bin Awang Rosman, RBN, and the signing of a certificate to officiate the handover ceremony then followed by a Speech by new Officer Commanding Lieutenant Commander Mohamad Amirul Azwan Bin Haji Dullah, RBN
