SALAYA, THAILAND, Friday, 20 September 2024 - Lt Cdr Mohd Amiel Azim bin Hj Afflon of the Royal Brunei Navy has successfully completed the 84th Naval Command and Staff Course (NCSC) conducted by the Royal Thai Navy. Spanning 18 months, the course included a mandatory 6-month Thai language training program for international officers and a 12-month NCSC, aimed at preparing officers for command and staff roles.
Among the 70 students were officers from Thailand, Australia, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and the United States. Lt Cdr Mohd Amiel was awarded for his outstanding research paper, reflecting his dedication and excellence. His participation in study visits across Thailand and Japan further strengthened ties between military counterparts and deepened his understanding of global military strategy.
