MUARA BEACH CLEANUP CAMPAIGN COMMEMORATING RBN 59th ANNIVERSARY

MUARA BEACH, Friday, 26 July 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) fleet personnel conducted beach cleaning campaign in honor of the RBN's 59th Anniversary at Muara Beach.

The event, chaired by Lt JG Azirol Izznan @ Mohammad Azirol Izznan bin Haji Azamain, featured the Guest of Honour, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Fleet Commander of the RBN, who inaugurated the campaign and led the efforts alongside 146 fleet personnel.

The campaign began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah to bless the day’s activities. Over the course of the event, participants collected 110 kg of litter, including plastic bottles, scraps, plastic containers, and other non-biodegradable waste.

This initiative not only celebrated the RBN's 59th Anniversary but also aimed to create a positive impact and raise awareness among RBN personnel about the environmental threats posed by litter on Brunei’s beaches.
