RBN SENIOR RATES HOLDS A MESS DINNER COMMEMORATING RBN’S 59TH ANNIVERSARY

MUARA, Wednesday, 19th June 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) commemorated its 59th Anniversary with a Mess Dinner Night at the Senior Rates' Mess, Muara Naval Base. Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander of the RBN, attended as the Guest of Honour along with his wife, Dr. Hajah Dayang Suzana binti Haji Awang Adenan. They were welcomed by Lieutenant Commander Muizz bin Hj Md Jaini, Officer In Charge of the Royal Brunei Navy Senior Rates' Mess, and Warrant Officer 1 Fauzillahrahime bin Haji Awg Damit, President of the Mess Committee (PMC). The event was also attended by the presence of the Navy Sergeant Major, Warrant Officers, and other senior rates of the RBN.

The evening began with Chief Petty Officer Mohd Ikramin bin Haji Jamaludin leading the recitation of the Doa Selamat. In his speech, the Acting Commander RBN expressed gratitude to the spouses and families for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of time management in achieving a healthy work-life balance. He underscored the significance of preserving naval traditions, such as the Mess Dinner, for future generations. Additionally, the Acting Commander RBN congratulated the senior ratings honoured during the Celebration Parade.

The event provided an opportunity for all members of the Royal Brunei Navy Senior Rates' Mess Committee and their spouses to interact with the Guest of Honour and other senior rates and spouses in attendance. The evening concluded with the signing of a parchment.
