ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY COMMEMORATES EID AL-ADHA 1445H

​​​​​MUARA NAVAL BASE, Sunday, 16 June 2024 - Last night, in conjunction with Eid Al-Adha 1445H, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) commemorated the occasion with a Malam Takbir event on the eve of 10 Zulhijjah 1445 at Surau Al-Huda.

The event was graced with the presence of Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander RBN. The event began with the mass Isya’ prayer and the recitation of the ‘Eid Takbir’. Also in attendance were senior officers, officers, and RBN personnel.

This morning, the RBN also hosted mass Eid Al-Adha Sunat Prayers, led by Imam Ak Muhd Yadiy Pg Sufriddin. Also present was Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Commander RBN, as well as the Senior Officers, Officers and ratings of the RBN.

Eid Al-Adha, celebrated globally by Muslims, honours the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim A.S. and his son Prophet Ismail A.S. The festival involves the act of Korban, performed on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Zulhijjah. Additionally, tomorrow, there will be a slaughtering event and the distribution of Korban meat.

Meanwhile, in the Pacific Ocean, the officers and crew of KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARULAMAN joined the world's Muslims in celebrating Aidil Adha with 'Laungan Takbir' and Aidil Adha sunat prayer.
