MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 26 January 2024 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a promotion ceremony for thirty-one (31) senior ratings held at the RBN Senior Rates' mess (15) were promoted from Acting Petty Officer to the rank Sub Petty Officer, and sixteen (16) were promoted from Sub Leading hand to the rank Sub Petty Officer.
Present at the ceremony as guest of honour was Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN Acting Commander of the Navy who presented the rank insignias. The presentation of rank insignias was also witnessed by members of the RBN Executive Board, RBN officers and ratings, as well as family members of the newly promoted RBN personnel.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah followed by a presentation of the rank insignias by the Guest of Honour and concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat.
