MUARA, Wednesday, 05 October 2022 – Yang Mulia First Admiral Dato Seri Pahalwan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) received an introductory call from Colonel Seongkyun Lee, Defence Attaché of the Republic of South Korea to Malaysia Accredited to Brunei Darussalam.
During the call, both sides affirmed friendly bilateral relations between RBN and the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) through interactions in multilateral events, as well as in bilateral settings including mutual port visits. RBN and ROKN have frequently interacted at sea during exercises such as in exercise RIMPAC 2020 and the ADMM Plus Expert Working Group on Maritime Security Field Training Exercise in 2019 which was held in Busan, South Korea.
