This momentous event is one of the initiatives by KDB DARUSSALAM which aims to acknowledge the continuous and positive efforts contributed by the ship’s company in maintaining and improving the operational capability of KDB DARUSSALAM. The Flag Ship of the Royal Brunei navy maintains a high caliber of professionalism amongst its crew in order to carry out its role in protecting the nation's sovereignty. Furthermore, the appreciation ceremony was conducted as a way to further inspire, motivate and instill a sense of dutifulness in every sailor to deliver their responsibilities with utmost quality and to the highest standard.
In his address to the ship’s company, Commander Pg Mohd Faren bin Pg Mohd Noor, the Commanding Officer of KDB DARUSSALAM stated the importance of patience and staying resilient in overcoming challenges. He also urged the ship’s crew to raise their spirits high and strengthen their determination to be highly disciplined and committed in driving Royal Brunei Navy towards excellence.
The Captain’s Commendation letters were presented by the Commanding Officer to sailors who displayed great dedication and outstanding performance in their duties onboard. The evaluation of the recipients has been identified through mutual recommendations from Divisional Officers and Department Coordinators of KDB DARUSSALAM. The recipients of the Letters were 739 Lt Cdr Ade Roddiane Bin Hj Mohd Rosidi, 14112 WO2 Pg Elmy Md Qhannafiah Bin Pg Jalil, 16603 CPO Khairol Anwar Bin Hj Ali Hassan, 16441 CPO Ismail Bin Ibrahim, 50078 LH Md Khairul Anuar bin Hj Abdul Rahim, 51065 AB Mohd Norilham Putra Bin Zaini, 18232 PO Harezal Bin Marak, 51396 AB Md Kamarul Asmi Bin Abdul Rahman and 51518 AB Md Hafizul Azim Bin Arifin.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that the crew will continue to thrive with their efforts being acknowledged as this can stimulate a positive and healthy attitude towards building their professionalism in the Royal Brunei Navy.
