JASAMU DIKENANG APPRECIATION CEREMONY FOR WARRANT OFFICERS, CHIEF PETTY OFFICERS, AND PETTY OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY

Berakas, Friday, 7 February 2025 – The "Jasamu Dikenang" Appreciation Ceremony for members of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers Mess for the year 2025 was held at the Main Conference Hall, International Convention Centre (ICC). The event was organised to honour the contributions and dedicated service of retired Mess members who have completed their tenure in the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. Also in attendance were members of the RBN Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers Mess, along with specially invited retirees, as a token of appreciation for their service to the nation and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by 18233 Chief Petty Officer Ikramin bin Haji Jamaluddin, followed by a welcoming speech from 12830 Warrant Officer 1 Fauzillahrahime bin Haji Awang Damit, President of the RBN Mess Committee (PMC) for the Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers Mess.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the retirees, officiated by the Guest of Honour. A total of 43 RBN retirees received recognition gifts, consisting of 4 Retired Warrant Officers 1, 14 Retired Warrant Officers 2, 15 Retired Senior Chief Petty Officers, and 10 Retired Petty Officers.

To further foster camaraderie among attendees, the ceremony featured a lucky draw, adding to the spirit of appreciation and gratitude. The event concluded with a closing prayer.

This ceremony underscores the Royal Brunei Navy's commitment to recognising and honouring the unwavering dedication of its personnel, ensuring their contributions are remembered and valued.
