RBN WELCOME PORT VISIT BY ROKS DAE JO YEONG

MUARA, Friday, 10 November 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed a Republic of Korea Navy Ship (ROKS) DAE JO YEONG, at the Muara Commercial Wharf. The ships were greeted upon arrival by officers and personnel of RBN, lead by Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, Chief of Staff RBN.

The 5-day visit to Brunei Darussalam starts from10 to 14 November 2017. The destroyer is commanded by Captain Choi Sung-Hyeok carrying 37 officers and 265 crew members, During the arrival, the RBN officers also have the chance to enter the destroyer for the meet and greet session with the Commanding Officer and other officers.

The purpose of this visit here in Brunei Darussalam is to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two Navies which have long been established and to exercise the interoperability between the two navies through the Professional Exchange and Passage Exercise that is scheduled to take place next Tuesday, 14th November 2017.

During the visit the crew will get the opportunity to explore several attractions sites within the country, such as the Brunei Maritime Museum, Royal Regalia Museum, Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas in Bandar Seri Begawan and other attraction sites as well as experiencing the local culture and cuisine.
