ACTING COMMANDER OF ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY RECEIVED COURTESY CALL BY UK HYDROGRAPHIC OFFICE, HEAD OF PARTNERING AND ENGAGEMENT, ASIA PACIFIC
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 25 July 2023 – Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Acting Commander received a courtesy call by Mr. Chris Hunt, UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), Head of Partnering and Engagement, Asia Pacific. Also present were Mr. Steve Druce, UKHO Geographic Technical Lead for Asia Pacific, Captain Jonathan Caple, Royal Navy, UK Defence Adviser to Brunei, Mr. Morgan Kimber, UK High Commission Political Officer, the RBN Chief of Staff, Staff Officer Grade 3 Naval Research Cell and the RBN Assistant Hydrographic Officer.
SPECIAL RELIGIOUS TALK HELD AT ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY IN COMMEMORATION WITH THE NEW HIJRAH YEAR 1445H
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 21 July 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) organized a special religious talk at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base to commemorate and celebrate the beginning of a new Hijrah Year 1445H. Captain Khairil bin Hj Abdul Rahman, RBN Fleet Commander, graced the event along with members of the RBN Executive Board, Officers, and Ratings of the RBN.
CLOSING CEREMONY OF RBN INTERMEDIATE BASE DEFENCE COURSE 2023
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 21 July 2023 – Twenty-four (24) Royal Brunei Navy (RBN)
personnel completed their Intermediate Base Defence course which was held over
7 intensive weeks including 5 days of exercise named Eksesais Penjuru. The closing ceremony was officiated by Guest of
Honour, Lieutenant Mohd Samsul bin Awg Rosman, RBN, Officer Commanding, Base
Defence RBN.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HOLDS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
NAVAL TRANING CENTRE, Tuesday, 18 July 2023 – Football Championship organized by Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) started on Monday, 10 July 2023 to Tuesday, 18 July 2023. Armada ‘A’ emerged as champions of the tournament, with Armada ‘B’ taking the runner-up position followed by RBN Headquarters in third place. The final took place on Tuesday, 18 July 2023, at the Muara Naval Base Football Field.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CELEBRATES NEW ISLAMIC YEAR ILAL HIJRAH 1445
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 18 July 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy held an event to commemorate the New Islamic Year 1445 Hijrah. The event was attended by navy ratings and officers, and the Commandant Support Services, Captain Hj Nor Ariwwin bin Hj Mohd Ali, RBN. Similar events were also held at all suraus in Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) garrisons, camps and bases including Pulau Baru-Baru.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Saturday, 15 July 2023 – The whole nation celebrated His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday that started with a Grand Parade at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the heart of the capital.
