MUARA, Thursday, 01 February 2018 – The Vice Minister of Defence for International Affairs, Japan Ministry of Defense, His Excellency Ro Manabe visited KDB DARULEHSAN as part of his three-day visit to Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Upon arrival, the Vice Minister was received by Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad.
During his visit, the Vice Minister was taken for a tour of KDB DARULEHSAN and His Excellency was briefed on the RBN organization and the ship’s capabilities and he also witnessed the launching of Rigid Hull Inflatable Craft (RHIC). The Commander of RBN and His Excellency expressed in enhancing of RBN and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) interaction. RBN Commander also extended his appreciation to the JMSDF for their last warship visit JS KIRISAME in May 2017 and also for this upcoming JMSDF warships on 11th February 2018.
JMSDF will hold a seminar on Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief, and Search and Rescue Exercise where senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces on 2nd February 2018.
